ACME Communications Introduces ``The Daily Buzz'' Team

New Morning Show is Set to Wake Up Select Markets On Monday, September 16th

ST. LOUIS, Sept. 4, 2002--ACME Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq:ACME) today announced the four hosts of "The Daily Buzz," a new three-hour live morning news show aimed at a younger audience than traditional morning news programming.

"The Daily Buzz," which will debut on September 16th, will air from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. weekdays and will be syndicated to all ACME markets. The four-anchor program will be produced by ACME Television Productions at the studios of WBDT-TV, ACME's WB affiliate in Dayton, Ohio, under the direction of award-winning Executive Producer Robin Radin.

Prior to joining ACME, Ms. Radin spent the last two and a half years producing the highly rated "Fox 11 Morning News" at KTTV-TV in Los Angeles. Ms. Radin has also worked as a news producer at KNBC-TV in Los Angeles, at ABC affiliate KGTV-TV in San Diego, and at NBC affiliate WLWT-TV in Cincinnati.

"I am excited about the opportunity to tailor morning news to a younger demographic," said Ms. Radin. "With `The Daily Buzz,' ACME will be serving viewers that have been virtually ignored in the competitive morning landscape."

"The Daily Buzz" features four talented anchors, three of whom recently worked in the nation's top television markets. News anchor and host Mr. Ron Corning freelanced for "E! News Daily" and "Extra" in Los Angeles before joining "The Daily Buzz" in mid-August. Ms. Andrea Jackson also joins "The Daily Buzz" from Los Angeles, where she appeared on KNBC-TV as the weekend weather and traffic reporter in addition to her role as a recurring `prankster' on NBC's "Spy TV." Along with hosting, Ms. Jackson will inform the audience about everything going on in the world of entertainment. Ms. Peggy Bunker has recently entertained viewers as a host for ABC "Soapnet" Network, Showtime, and MTV in New York and will be a host and feature reporter on the program. At the weather desk is Mr. Mitch English, who was the main meteorologist and station host for ACME's WB affiliate KUWB-TV in Salt Lake City.

"The Daily Buzz" will include content from CNN Newsource, as well as regular features focused on entertainment, style, money and hi-tech reviews that are designed to appeal to a younger demographic than typical morning fare. The show will also feature local weather and local headlines from each of ACME's markets.

"The show will definitely be a change of pace for most morning viewers," said Mr. Doug Gealy, President and Chief Operating Officer of ACME Communications and the originator of "The Daily Buzz" concept. "We're giving younger viewers a reason to watch in the mornings and advertisers a new opportunity to reach this audience."
