Christopher & Banks Corporation is a Minneapolis-based retailer of women's clothing. The Company currently operates 837 women's specialty stores in 46 states under the names: Christopher & Banks, C.J. Banks and Acorn. As of March 1, 2008 there are 543 Christopher & Banks stores, 257 C.J. Banks stores and 37 Acorn stores.
- Strong Brand Name Recognition. The company has developed a large private label business establishing its Christopher & Banks label as a key brand name, which is well-recognized among its target customers.

- Disciplined Inventory Management. Stores feature a steady flow of new fashionable merchandise. The company imports approximately 95% of its merchandise, and long standing relationships with its foreign suppliers enables it to keep fashions fresh and current.
- Use of Information Systems to Drive Decision-Making. The company utilizes point-of-sale inventory tracking to analyze the purchasing patterns of its customers in its market niche. Christopher & Banks also uses a product-testing program to identify consumer demand for clothing styles, patterns and colors.
- Upgraded Shopping Experience. In addition to changing the retail stores' name, the company provides great customer service. Purchases are wrapped in tissue and placed in an appealing paper bag. Receipts are placed in envelopes and merchandise is displayed on wooden hangers.
