BASKING RIDGE, N.J., Feb. 27, 2001 -- Hooper Holmes, Inc. (AMEX:HH) announced today that it has agreed to license its tele-underwriting software ("Teledex") to Amica Life Insurance Company. Under the terms of the agreement, Amica will pay Hooper Holmes an initial license fee and ongoing payments for each completed transaction.
Jim McNamee, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Hooper Holmes, stated, "After providing tele-underwriting solutions to customers who have outsourced their call centers to us, we now have the technology and support systems necessary to license our innovative product to customers. Developed by Hooper Holmes in 1995, Teledex is a tele-underwriting software solution to customers who outsource their call center functions to Hooper Holmes. Teledex allows for the comprehensive collection of underwriting information necessary for life insurance policies.
