BASKING RIDGE, N.J., March 11, 2005 -- Hooper Holmes, Inc. (HH) announced today that it has further strengthened its Board of Directors through the appointment of Roy E. Lowrance, 54. This addition expands Hooper Holmes' Board of Directors from eight to nine Directors. Mr. Lowrance will serve on the Audit Committee. This addition is consistent with the Company's objective to add an additional independent Director to its Board.
Mr. Lowrance has been Chief Technology Officer and Chief Architect for Capital One Financial Corporation since 2002. His responsibilities at Capital One include, head of the Strategic Technology group, which explores and exploits new technologies; head of the Global Architecture Group, which manages the architecture of the company's IT framework; co-responsible for leading the development of Capital One's IT strategy and leading all of the company's patent activity. Prior to joining Capital One, Mr. Lowrance served as a Vice President, Director and Partner at Boston Consulting Group, from 2000 to 2002 and before his position at Boston Consulting Group, Mr. Lowrance was the Head of Operations and Chief Information Officer of Corio, Inc.

Mr. Lowrance received a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Vanderbilt University in 1971 and a Masters Business Administration from Harvard University in 1979.
