Northrop Grumman Park Air Systems Wins Major Air Traffic Control Communications Contract in Canada

LONDON - Sept. 16, 2008 - Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) announced that its Europe-based subsidiary, Park Air Systems, has been awarded a contract by NAV CANADA, Canada's civil air navigation services provider, for the supply of VHF radios as part of an extensive $50 million replacement programme throughout Canada.

"Being selected by NAV CANADA for this project represents a strong endorsement of our company and the T6 multi-mode digital radio," said Charles Houseago, UK managing director for Northrop Grumman Park Air Systems. "We are very pleased to be able to provide this critical technology for such a large and important segment of the world's airspace. We are proud of the relationship we have built as a supplier to NAV CANADA and are looking forward to working with them in the years to come."

The project will see NAV CANADA replace all ground-to-air VHF radio equipment throughout 320 sites across Canada. More than 2,000 pairs of radios in total will be replaced with the latest modern technology by Northrop Grumman Park Air Systems. The new PAE T6 multi-mode digital radios will improve ground-to-air communications throughout Canada, introducing higher power capabilities and advanced remote maintenance monitoring. A total of 250 pairs of radios will be delivered to NAV CANADA in 2008.

Northrop Grumman Park Air Systems will provide advanced PAE radios to help NAV CANADA air traffic controllers move aircraft with the knowledge that they are making use of reliable, state-of-the-art voice communications equipment," said John Crichton, NAV CANADA president and chief executive officer.
