Three New Appointments to Fill Key Roles at Tioga Gaming, Racing & Entertainment

Senior Personnel Hired in Operational and Marketing Capacities

HOUSTON, March 13, 2006 -- Nevada Gold & Casinos, Inc. (AMEX:UWN) today announced three appointments filling key roles at Tioga Gaming, Racing & Entertainment, which is owned by American Racing and Entertainment, LLC. Nevada Gold owns 40% of American Racing and Entertainment, LLC.

Eric Hans Persson has been appointed Senior Vice President, General Manager. In this role he will oversee Tioga's VLT facility, harness racing track, entertainment and dining venues, all of which are slated to open in May, 2006. Mr. Persson was most recently Senior Vice President and Assistant General Manager of the Wheeling Island Racetrack and Gaming Center in Wheeling, West Virginia, where he had day-to-day responsibilities for slot machines, greyhound racing and simulcast, the hotel, seven food and beverage outlets, security and other operations. Prior to that, he held senior management positions with Harrah's Entertainment in Kansas and Las Vegas.

Dwayne Spitzer has been appointed Regional Vice President of Casino Marketing. He will be responsible for enhancing the visibility of the facility with focused and effective marketing programs. He was most recently the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Twin Tier Hospitality. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Marketing for Turning Stone Casino Resort in New York, and held a number of senior management marketing positions with Carnival Gaming and Resorts.

Jason Settlemoir has been named Regional Vice President of Racing and Simulcasting. In this role he will oversee all racing and simulcast operations. Mr. Settlemoir was most recently the Director of Advertising for the United States Trotting Association. Prior to that, he held a variety of roles at Scioto Downs in Columbus, Ohio, including Simulcast Director, Operations Assistant, Track Announcer and Assistant Race Secretary. He also served as the Simulcast Director of the Delaware County Fair.
